Sunset light on water

The forlorn, dismal thoughts of mine

Which play over and over in my mind

Take me to a place that was once fine;

And no one would ever think to find

That place frozen in the depths of time

Almost untouched by the cruelty of the reality

It remains blissfully unaware and beautiful

If ever there was innocence unmoved by calamity

If ever there was love that forever remained faithful

You will find it here, where it knows nothing of enmity,

Or the words that were hateful and the acts that were spiteful
